You have several options to set up midiclock synchronisation :
The sync mode parameter (in menu midi:setting) can be set to the following values :
INTERNAL: –> don’t use this setting if you want to sync to midiclock.
MIDI: –> your drum machine will always act as a total slave to midiclock.
REMOTE: –> the dr-880 will ignore the clock rate but still react on the start/stop commands midiclock transmits.
AUTO: –> the dr-880 will automatically switch to midiclock slave mode as soon as it receives a start command.
AUTO will do fine for midiclock.
